Greg, oddly enough - I did not see Acer 's intention to market the AcerBasic in major news either. It was posted on AOL MF. News was from Briefing by Charter Media on 5/30: >> IOMEGA CORP (IOMG) 46 3/8 + 3. Momentum stock is rebounding a bit today on news that relationship with Taiwanese computer maker Acer Group could be more beneficial then previously expected. Today Acer announced that it will sell its new PC, which incorporates IOMG 's Zip drives, in the US after all. Originally when relatiionship was announced investors assumed taht product would be sold in US and thus, pushed the stock higher. However, on the next day, Acer stated that the PC would not be released in the US, which casued the stock to immediately reverse course. It appears that these shares always find an angel to help mitigate negative news. However, recent collapse of momentum stocks may keep investors from jumping on this news in the fashion that would have occured last week. <<
