Geac Appoints Chairman And Vice Chairman biz.yahoo.com MARKHAM, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1999--Geac Computer Corporation Limited (TSE: GAC - news) announced today that its Board of Directors had re-appointed Mr. William G. Nelson as Chairman and appointed Mr. Patrick Lavelle as Vice Chairman of the Corporation following the Company's Annual Meeting yesterday. --- I still can't figure out what the street expects from Geac. They sure had a very nice quarter. In todays G&M the report on Geac looked great and one analyst recommended it as a strong buy. It open like it should have up $1.40 then bam it drop like a rock to finish down 50 cents. I guess it could be that the rest of the market dragged it down. OT Hummingbird sure look good today considering almost all the tech stocks were in the red. Hum got hit yesterday but sure bounce back today. It was the only company that finished in the green that I hold. From just a gut feeling Hum appears stronger than Geac. Maybe it time to follow the pack and sell some Geac to pick up more Hum. JMHO Mike
