TORONTO, Sept. 15 /CNW/ - Senco Sensors Inc. Trading Symbol: SSZ.V
Senco Sensors Inc. is pleased to announce that, as back to school and heating seasons commence, the Senco line of CO alarms will be featured in the following major hardware retailers' Fall/Winter marketing materials. Home Hardware: The Senco line of CO alarms will have a significant presence in Home Hardware literature this year. Not only is the Model One being featured in the fall/winter catalog and two fall flyers, but both the Model One and the Model 2002 will appear in Home Hardware's annual catalog, a publication which stays in homes the entire year. With over 960 dealers, Home Hardware is one of Canada's largest hardware and home improvement retailers. Home Depot: In March of this year Home Depot began stocking the Senco Model One on its shelves in Ontario and Manitoba. This fall, Home Depot will be supporting further sales by featuring it in their September/October catalog. Home Depot has more than 720 stores across North America. Tim-BR-Mart: The Senco Model ONE will be featured in two flyers this fall; one in October to greet the heating season, and one in December to in time for holiday gift giving. ''These marketing developments underscore the growing support we are receiving from Canadian retailers,'' says Nasim Tyab, President and CEO of Senco Sensors Inc. ''As more and more consumers are becoming educated to the dangers of carbon monoxide in the home through media and the implementation of legislation, the support of retailers and utility companies creates a very favorable market for Senco's CO alarms.'' BC Gas: BC Gas Inc. was one of the initial supporters of Senco when in May of last year they announced their decision to market the Senco Model One CO alarm to all British Columbians under the HomeWorks brand name. This past summer BC Gas further endorsed Senco Sensors Inc. with a bill stuffer campaign sent to over 100,000 BC Gas customers. Nova Scotia Power: In May of 1999, Nova Scotia Power added the Senco Model One to their line of Comfort Smart healthy indoor air quality products. As winter is fast approaching, Nova Scotia Power is planning a number of promotional initiatives. As well as a mail out of brochures and bill stuffers to their customers, Nova Scotia Power is planning a newspaper advertisement and a TV campaign on indoor air quality, which will include the Senco/Comfort Smart CO alarm. According to the Canada Safety Council, upwards of 200 people are killed each year in Canada by CO poisoning, with 1,500 others becoming seriously ill. Senco Sensors Inc. is dedicated to becoming a major manufacturer of quality residential carbon monoxide alarms.
