Idler....Were you actually invited to the conference or did you just show up? I ask this because of the following post....

I still do not understand how, in theory, any meeting such as this could be closed to the general public. If all information given out at the meeting is immaterial, then by definition it is useless or close to useless. If it is material, then it is illegal for it to be disseminated to a closed group without simultaneously making it public.

I completely agree with the sentiments that you expressed above and hope that the conference was actually open to the public. Thanks for your synopsis.
