Jill, I am not sure i am going to play the sept 95s but if i do it would be on weakness tomorrow (might even go lower for the 90s). If there is strength in MSFT tomorrow, it may not be worth the gamble.

If the above does not pan out, i plan to "play" a little on Friday--buying and selling on the same day---beats going to a casino.<g>

On Friday, i will be at home and able to monitor the market minute to minute. Tomorrow (like today) calls for me to be elsewhere during the day.

Chances of losing money are higher but if one makes money, it could be a big win in such situations. That is what i hope for each time i try it. If i get it right only 1 out of 5 times, it means i am going to make money.(of course this varies with how much out of the money one plays etc.)

Some of the things i am looking at include the Japanese government's Yen policy. If the dollar weakens again tonite and the japanese bank does not intervene, then the chances of intervention on Friday morning go up(or at least the dollar strengthening on its own go up), meaning a good chance of gains in the stock market. That would also be a factor in whether i would assume an options position on Thursday.

BTW-The options related selloff would explain why big caps like MSFT and Intel got hit more than Oracle---i don't mean percentage basis---i mean given that Oracle should have done far worse than Intel or MSFT which is not the way it worked out today.
