Good-day James: You should've raised your eyes to the stars when you were a boy, and not waited to lift your eyes above the horizon until you had fallen on your back! But you are correct, when the mind lost all capacity to reason and is confused and irrationally groping, that is when it will grasp at an invalid concept like an irrational, conflict-ridden philosophy like religion. The mind can only be "molded" if it is like a piece of wet clay with no strong convictions or ties to reality. That is why most religions draw converts from the weak-willed, lower intelligence, emotionally troubled, or addictive personalities. Father Terrence
