They just look different. For example, we have the same number of hair follicles, in the same locations. Bonobos are as likely to walk upright. Bonobos are sophisticated tool users. They have a demonstrable sense of self (as do all the primates) Bonobos give us a startling picture of what life may have been like for our proto-human ancestors 2 million years ago. w.
