You say you contacted SI about the glitch that puts a tilde over a vowel in your nom de cyber but you're afraid The Cow may have to go tail-less.

You could try spelling it with a capital c-cedilla, also an impossible letter since words don't start with c-cedilla in French, but it would give the Çow a tail. On the other hand, the word would then be pronounced "sow," which is a whole different animal.
