Lather.Rinse.Repeat., I stand by my mud-hole theory of creation.
It all started from a few sub-atomic particles or gravitational/electro/magnetic forces .
( let's not argue how they started please or we'll never end. Assume? that they always existed; ( don't laugh); or that they appeared spontaneously
out of nothing thus killing the 1st? law of thermodynamics { i.e. matter can neither be created nor destroyed } ; [OK it's just one little dead law. For
the purposes of discussion disregard let's not get picky here ).
Ok so this particles are everywhere as far as my eye can see. ( Unless of course the universe is different at the end of the Galaxy in which case we
should all log off and go watch Star trek ).
Brother Darwin and comrades postulate that one day the bolt appeared from the sky and we developed hydrogen, then Oxygen then carbon then
Nitrogen.
Pronto.
Another blot.
There DNA floating in the Red Sea under the warm sun.
Soon sexual feelings arose among the DNA , they got together for a party and soon we had a an active-baby-DNA - prototype.
Another bolt and another bolt. With the rain all that turned into mud.
Not to worry , more bolts and microwaves and soon out of the chocolate mud you had dancing Chocolate DNA babies.
They all developed friendly feelings, another bolt brain- electroshocked them into cellular communes and after a few billion years to make a long
story short, pronto we have
Vivaldi's The Four Seasons theme and Einstein's theory of relativity let alone Calculus, etc. etc. etc.
( of course all this random organization into better things flies into the 3 rd law of Thermodynamics/law of entropy which states that when matter is left to itself it goes from bad to worse, but hey we've skipped over one law already so this one is just one more )
It all makes sense now,give and take a couple of black holes in between,

It is not nearly so simple, Tunica. Your "random mud-hole" phrase is designed to be pejorative. It reminds me of that monumentally annoying Diuretics
commercial that ridicules irreligious scientific theory.
The current theory of evolution has not been successfully extended back beyond the fully functioning unicell. The theory for going from prebiotic
conditions, the "mudhole" if you will, to a fully competent unicell is a big black box.
There is currently a great deal of interest in panspermia theories ... the idea that life did not independently arise on Earth, but bacteria from extrasolar
sources "inoculated" the young Earth just as soon as it became at all hospitable.
So there is wiggle room between the mudhole and the altar. |
