Goldman...

>>Do you really think that Goldman or its investors are shooting for a cpl. hundred basis pts over fed funds on invested capitol...That would be unacceptable to most Goldman investors and a strategy I find difficult to swallow that they employ>>

Forget about "investors".

I'm referring to "traders" - ie. the professional trading community. To trading professionals, an extra 100-200 basis points above the implied risk free rate of return which is embedded in most option pricing models is the equivalent of "printing money."

Microsoft is printing money. The machine is voracious. As long as the brothel remains open and customers come through the door and local officials wink, it's all fair game.

As the people surrouding the two BIG Bill's are so fond of saying "everyone does it...."

The game is about to end.

Perhaps soon.

Just wait and see.....

Peace.

GO!!

Note: Scott, you asked for a "professional opinion." Sorry to throw in the evangalism, but truth, Ma-Pa and apple pie are my staple. Our quality of the entire world's social and economic order is based one three foundations: TIME TRUTH and TRUST. Abuse anyone of these three legs and you are asking for trouble. Which goes right to the heart of everything preached about building community. It's just that each community will place different values and weights to these elements.
