Regarding the 1,000 contracts, you should not assume that someone bought these contracts. Someone could just as easily have sold these to let them expire worthless. The other scenario on someone being short is also very possible. That is the cheapest insurance you can get when you are short this many shares. There are too many articles coming out about PCLN going down. Check out TSCM and the article they wrote today. Time to buy puts!
