Further proof from the May/99 Prez letter:

"The perception of MG management is that we can produce gold “quicker and cheaper” than the conventional mining companies with whom we are contemporaries only in time. It is ironic that Mike and Jeanne mortgaged their home to “jump start” MG as Ray Kroc did to start McDonald's. It is ironic that the restaurant business was changed forever with the advent of McDonald's and the gold mining business is about to change forever as well. It is ironic that MG teamed with Johnson and Lett as Ray Kroc teamed with Dick and Mac. It is ironic that from “the decision to the dollars” for us is one year as it was for McDonald's. It is ironic that MG's first day's check was $360.93 and McDonald's was $366.12."

Paunch, I finally figured it out, I should be paying more attention to Mike's letters.........its been there all this time and I missed it........is this ironic or what? ;-)
