Dear friends, all your prayers, concerns, and posts in regard to my son have been read. We do appreciate the POSITIVE response. Isn't it nice to see God's people applying the use of their life to comfort those in need? At this point we can do no more but continue to pray and visit him to express our love for him. I think a greater trajedy could happen if he lost all hope of any family connection. Hopelessness could possibly keep him down for the rest of his life. But we have confidence in God that things will be corrected and satan defeated. It is amazing how the power of satan can use drugs to destroy all the good things that he was taught. One of the major teachings to our children was that God loved them and in His eyes they were of GREAT value. We used the picture of the little child who said, " I aint no junk, God made me". Unfortunately, with the advent of drugs, the good self image was destroyed. We are working on helping him know that God still loves him and we do too, thereby rebuilding a positive self image.
It is a long road back because he took a long road away from home. But by the grace of God satan will lose.
Again, we appreciate the support of friends.
God bless,
David |
