HI CLINT!

The market had a good down day and the oversea markets suggest further sell off. Right now i'm 100% cash and was paper shorting yesterday. If the negative tone from Japan swaps over to europe the market might gap lower.
The question is how would you prepare trading for a market like that? I'm going through my charts a little bit but feel that i don't really know what i should be looking for at this point. During normal market action i'm slowly learning what to look for but these swift changes from bullish to bearish confuse me a bit.
I ran a scan of some stocks closing under their 21EMA and a lot of them show huge black candles like ADBE,AMGN,GILD,the semis...
Should i look for some stocks that didn't sell off in the hope they now will? but why short the strong ones?
Should i look for a long entry points in good stocks hoping for a bounce? -EXDS held nicely above the 75 but if the market sells off it will break again into the low 70s-
But then again this could be the beginning of a sharp sell off?
So how would you approach a situation like this...if you have time. I have a vague feeling how an answer could look like:wait until the dust settles in the morning because everything else is too risky? but i'm not sure.
Did you have a good trip?
And btw i was very impressed by your goal of making 400%/y. Was that actually achievable? I know you're good but 400% return just sounds still very far out of reach for me ;-((.
