[OT] Re: TA. sorry about joining the TA-bashing party, really i don't know - TA might be quite valuable. I don't do any TA, really. The only major study I've seen on it was inconclusive. And unfortunately, lots of charlatans practice and preach it.

BUT, it seems so *intuitive* that TA may work. I look at what motivates people to buy stocks today, and it's creepy. A lot of knowledge on mass psychology and recognizing the corresponding technical patterns seem on the surface to get you almost as far as fundamental analysis these days. And before bashing TA, everyone does quasi-TA of some sort, when analyzing charts to determine when to enter or bail. It's just that some people have taken TA to the next level, trying to hone it into a science. But which school of TA to follow? Random thoughts, don't worry, my last on TA...
