Jim,

Welcome to the Quidel tread.

Have you notice an increase in the number of prescriptions written for the treatment of H. pylori?

Seems the CDC is finally doing something to get the word out. According to the article, Ulcer Awareness Week: Bacteria Cause Most Ulcers 08/14/99, the CDC and the American Pharmaceutical Association launched the first annual National Ulcer Awareness Week from August 9 to 16, 1999. pharmacology.about.com
Did you see anything related this campaign?

Last May, Quidel said it joined Merck-Medco in a peptic ulcer disease pilot program. Under the agreement patients would be tested for H. pylori at some retail pharmacies. quidel.com Did you notice any testing being done?

Also, in January 1997 Quidel and Procter & Gamble agreed to co-promotion of Quidel's H. pylori test and P&G's Helidac. Do you notice any sales of Helidac? - Trend?

Thanks.

Mike
