Tejerk - Here's an interesting approach ! Have MotherBoard manufacturers design and build new motherboards BEFORE announcing a new CPU (for those motherboards) !

I guess you could call this the "AntiAthlon Approach " !!!

The top speed of this board is rather interesting, as well.

Tekram a go-go with 810e mobo
Taiwanese mobo manufacturer Tekram said it will build a mobo based on the up-and-coming Intel 82C810e chipset.

The board uses Slot 1, has a 133MHz front side bus (FSB) and will support Intel clock speeds up to 733MHz -- and that's what we'll see very soon. It will also support 500MHz Celerons.

The board comes with integrated 3D AGP, AC97 audio, and an MC97 modem upgrade.

The board supports IDE 66Mb/s, includes 133/100 MHz display cache support and has five PCI and one PCI/ISA slot.

Tekram's 810e board also supports Suspend to Ram and APCI BIOS implementations, which Tekram describes as "deep sleep yet communicating". We know how it feels.
