TAIPEI: Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), sponsors of SEMICON Taiwan 99, said today Taiwan now accounted for two thirds of the worldwide revenue for foundry-produced integrated circuits.

SEMI said as a result, semiconductor equipment capital spending had increased from $USM80 in 1990 to nearly $3.28 billion in 1998, and was projected to be $4.2 and $5.2 billion in 1999 and 2000. ORDER PLACED.......
