Hi DJ! Glad to see the reports of your demise were premature.
PS: re his Scottish origins (a short episode): he cashed in a check for ~49.95 $ his daughter sent him, because "she owed him the money".
I notice that characteristic in most of my clients in that generation that I refer to as the depression children. God forbid if they would "ruin" their children by making their life somewhat easier.
Once upon a time, my family, my mom and her boy friend, an my in-laws went on a nice dinner cruise on a paddle wheeler down the inter-coastal. After dinner, every one except my father-in-law and myself, went top side. When the check came, my father-in-law suggested that he pay it. (I've gratuitously done his tax return for twenty years; thus, have a good handle on his financial situation) I mockingly responded: No, you keep your money in your checking account; but, I want you to know that, when you go, we're going to have a big party. I notice that he has been much more generous with his daughters since that time.
BTW Congrats on your CSCO!
