hi Robert, Haven't had a chance to keep up w/the thread this week, but I agree w/you about the wisdom of getting off margin here; I just dumped everything in my trading account which I don't know well enough to hold through a swoon. FWIW, I'm operating on the assumption that businesses are facing higher costs which they are unable to pass along to customers. So even if we don't see inflation, profit margins could bite for huge chunks of the economy. I haven't committed big to this scenario yet; more numbers to look at and I also want to get back to CA. (Right now I am in the deepest midwest, which may be coloring my thinking. I sometimes get too bearish when I am not on one of the coasts.) Cost-cutting software should rock in that environment.
