Brown said Thursday it is raising ACT Manufacturing Inc. (Nasdaq:ACTM) to strong buy versus buy. -- No further details were immediately available. -- Shares of ACT rose 1-5/8 on the Nasdaq to 24-3/8 in the morning. Earlier in the session they hit a fresh one-year high of 25-1/8, surpassing their previous high of 24-11/16.
