Couple Caught Making Love Inside ATM Room

VILLAHERMOSA, Mexico (Reuters) - A couple was arrested and charged with engaging in a lewd act in public after
being surprised making love inside an ATM glass room reserved for bank customers withdrawing money, police said
Monday.
``We found them doing 'that.' I couldn't believe it. I didn't know what to tell them,' said Braulio Triano, a police officer who
was patrolling the streets of Villahermosa, in the southern state of Tabasco, when he discovered the couple in the early
hours Monday.
``The first thing that occurred to me was to shout at them. 'What's going on? Get out immediately, it's an order,' he added.
Banks in Mexico normally have well-lit, two-by-two yard (meter) glass rooms adjacent to bank branches for customers to
withdraw money.
The woman, a prostitute who refused to give her name, told a judge she never intended to go that far.
``He told me we were only going to withdraw money to go to a hotel,' she said. ``It was not my intention, I was drunk. I
let myself go.'
The couple, who was surprised in their act at 2:10 a.m. local, was released after paying an $85 fine. |
