Not a problem.

I can not comment on question one as it entails discussing confidential information, sorry.

As for marketing your note on if Progress is moving to become a Web company shows that you've seen ( I hope ) that Progress is spending dollars to leverage it's advantage in the web space. This message is just being shown more. The company still sells the rest of the product line. It's a newer market place and Progress can get more for it's dollar here than it could screaming CLIENT/SERVER - APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT - ETC with the rest of the crowd.

As for Joe please look at the lesson learned by Centura, formerly Gupta, about just spending dollars. Also note Borland's lesson at the hands of Microsoft about having the better mouse trap. My point is that what seems to be the apparent answer to gain market awareness and share has almost closed the doors on companies. Although I agree that spending could be more aggressive.

If your consulting in RDBMS' then maybe your better off moving to a database with more of a following and where the need of a DBA is more in demand. It's hard for me to comment because I don't know your background.

I do not have any numbers to give, that also is confidential, but confidence is high among the people I work with.
