At last - a potentially valid objection to evolutionary theory.

The fossil record is nor perfect for every species. Why would you expect otherwise? Also, the Darwinian view that evolution was gradual is being challenged by scientists. Gould and Eldrege advocate rapid changes followed by periods of stasis.
