I too am very bullish about Oracle's prospects, and for the same reasons that you describe. The only thing that isn't clear to me is the non-trivial matter of execution. I don't know why there are these big fluctuations in earnings, and maybe it really is the case that you have to cook the books in database sales to smooth things out -- if so, I'd rather ORCL didn't and just took their lumps. But the nagging concern is that it's a sign of disorganization at some level of the company. Either way, I'm long and committed.
