Your response was to attack MSFT where they are weakest and where SUNW is strongest. MSFT is mainly desktop OS and APP company that is working to get better at the network server side.

SUNW is mainly a SERVER side company working to get better at servicing the desktop.

Your response was stating that because MSFT has weaknesses they will crumble. I think that that is a narrow minded way to view the competition.

I am not trying to spew rhetoric. I am not a softie. I am agnostic when it comes to computing paradigms. Each company has strengths and weaknesses. Neither is going away in the next five years. With the amount of windows software that is out there, data files and applications etc., any shift to a different paradigm will be slow. Look at how long it has taken to get people to stop using DOS programs.

Please people don't get me wrong. I am not arguing that the net and all it represents is not a powerful force. It is and it will change many of the ways we interact with machines and people. All I am saying is MSFT is not dead and SUNW has a bright future. I get tired of reading the biased anti MSFT opinions. It becomes very emotional. And once it has reached that part of the brain the information is less useful.

Ok I will now get off my soapbox.
