Project Angel primarily depends on smart-antenna technology coming from the defense industry, and was/is designed to use the AT&T PCS frequencies, not the millimeter wave frequencies used by the Netro equipment-i.e., it is neither MMDS not LMDS. It was also intended to provide voice service (8+kbps with silence suppresion and compression), not broadband. Now that they have cable, they don't need this approach anymore.
