Slight confusion Mephisto: I was talking about support for StarOffice, not Linux. I already use Solaris, as a main server for our company, and it is a real workhorse. I've run StarOffice on both Windows and Solaris, and the Solaris version is marginally less stable, so go figure (lower installed-base, less well tested is my guess). But of course, if StarOffice crashes, Solaris keeps right on going.
We're considering Linux for our desktop machines, but installing it is not trivial. Eventually I want a sticker on the door of our company that says "Microsoft Free Zone". But that will take a while.
The StarDivision support will improve as the user-community increases. StarPortal will make many of the current support issues non-existent (installation, configuration, proxies, crashes etc), so I'm not unduly concerned.
