DSI Toys Promotes Loyd W. Harlan to Vice President Operations

HOUSTON, Sep 15, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- DSI Toys Inc. (Nasdaq:DSIT) is pleased to announce that Mr. Loyd W. Harlan has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Operations.
In addition to continuing to fulfill his assigned duties as director of operations, Mr. Harlan has accepted the expanded role of overseeing production, planning, and forecasting as well as the coordination of these functions with our Hong Kong subsidiary. Mr. Harlan, who is a seasoned executive in the retail industry, joined DSI Toys Inc. in 1991. He began his career at Sears, Roebuck and Co., in 1956, primarily in merchandising management.
Mr. Harlan currently serves as chairman of TOYSA, the Toy Shippers Association Inc., and has been an active member of TOYSA's board of directors for the past three years.
