That is one of those situations where a little judgment would surely help. It's things like that why I blasted Dr.Jack for being "mental". If society accepts assisted suicide, I'm sure safety interlocks like a one-week wait between declared intent and actual execution (oooh, probably the wrong word) would be prudent. Maybe a waiver in cases of intractable pain. The details can be hammered out ... this isn't the real argument. It's more about the philosophical acceptability of assisted suicide vs. legally-defined murder. And on that, opinions are as thick as crabgrass, lol.
