Bravo 2 Jed, you're holdin' up yer own wit dat intervyooer bettern most CEOs R abl 2do on cabl stockshoppingshows. Tell Blue what he went through with Nam and Mrs. Blue's cancer and his Dad's death did for him like when a flood river cuts a deeper chasm through a canyon - doing right by Blue's heart and mind but O what a price he paid in tears to move up that cosmic stepladder. It's so sad Blue lost his Dad please convey my regrets to him, but he was left with such a fine memory and example to help him carry on The Torch. The best thing about the story is Happy Endings/Beginnings that Blue made it back home safe (thank you) an American Hero & Mrs. Blue is still All-Clear & Blue's retired early inspired to battle cancer in his Rocky Mountain home on all that land where beautiful wild animals roam free paid for by his hard work & stocksmarts (thank you again). And thanks Jed for mentioning that good memory of when Blue & me first got 2B Pals, we wuz Natcherl Pals from the git-go wuzzint we? Neither had no ax to grind and we liked to make up our own ways of freeform descriptions & LOL at shocking stuff probly too often for some but oh well, guess It Takes One To Know One so we hit it off. Yep Blue outed me as a woman on an all guys stock thread, I thought it'd be much simpler to just go along posting kinda like "Pat, What's That" on Saturday Nite Live and sidestep the issue of gender altogether in my writings. But Blue wuzzint havin' none of datdere, sum lil giveaway dunno what mebbe I wuzzint talkin about sports enuf R sumpin but he spottid it an den I had 2 admit it. Dat wuz fun. Sitting here in a dry terry bathrobe now, havin me a nice cocktail and gettin' ready to get back into my soaking wet old clothes to go out there again soon. I've got a callus on the side of my index finger already from the rope pulling up the heavy bucket of water again and again, ugh its gross. Working like a mule while you were being interviewed la-di-da, Jed - Some Of Us Have To Go Out In A Hurricaine trying to keep water from pouring into the basement. yep Floyd's got us hopping here Back East alrite. Just had to make a choice to come in from bailing out three cellar wells with that bucket again, the first well was full again as I finish the last one, came in and read Part II when some lightning struck pretty closeby to hyar. I read Part I last break I took, didn't write went right back out there again, it's been hours now I've been doing this. Water pours into the cellar from under the windows when these wells fill up which drain the water out of the foundation and the ground so they're necessary usually - but at times of heavy downpour like this they seem to make matters worse. Whenever it rarely happens I vow to contract some drainage specialist to fix it, then as soon as it's dry how soon we fugeddabouddit... ANEE-ways I sure could use Mickey's Sorcerers Apprentice Hat right now, daydreaming how I could make that army of mops and buckets act right if I set my mind to it has been sumpin I've been imagining to amuse myself outside in the torrent. The wind isn't real bad yet so it's safe; it's been downgraded to Tropical Storm calming down in a few hours now and that's fortunate for us around here. It's still a wild day out there right now, though. The hardware store guy liked my style this morning with a huge roll of ductape, a coleman flourescent lantern with batteries, and a deck of cards. Glad he didn't see the other bags in the back of the car... got bokoo snacks, trash bags, water, soda, coupla flashlights, the woiks. It made my daughter laugh when she saw me come in all loaded down with the stuff in my Sea World poncho this morning waving the lantern hollering "HURRICAINE'S A-COMIN'" as she was talking to our pal her guitar teacher about no lesson today, when he heard me hollering and she asked what's all that stuff for, he was howling ROFLHFAO. Yep If it ain't fun, it ain't worth it. I got my kayak tied down good in the backyard, so if we flood can just get the oars and float 'er on outta here. Been seizing some more my measure of fun by thinking of what a blast it would be hollering "SHIP'S AHOY" even louder if my boat must be utilized for practical purposes to help the neighbors to dry ground. But it doesn't look now like it's gonna come to that, though. Maybe next time. Back Out There I Go, CU Laytar.... :o) 909s 2U Old Pal & All Pals, Joanie |
