Writing in the Sept. 8 issue of Gold Resource & Environmental Stocks, Jay Taylor tells his subscribers that he likes Polymet Mining as much as ever. Mr. Taylor first recommended Polymet in his January newsletter, following up a hotline recommendation in December at 64 cents. The stock closed recently at $1.35. Mr. Taylor does not expand on his terse endorsement this month. A large portion of his current newsletter is given over to an interview with Bill Murphy, an activist who has raised allegations of manipulation in the gold market, pointing the finger at a number of financial institutions and high-ranking political figures. Mr. Taylor notes that some people may suspect that Mr. Murphy "has some emotional problems" but he is convinced that Mr. Murphy "is of sound mind and judgement." Seeming to marvel at Mr. Murphy's courage, he writes: "Yet, tangling with the power elite, as Bill has chosen to do, can, I believe, lead to one's unexplained accidental death or disappearance, even in America!" Mr. Taylor has frequently suggested a connection between gold and democracy and suspects that it is through divine intervention that Mr. Murphy "has been called to serve the cause of freedom."
