At the bottom of a downtrend, it portends a change change of trend, which implies sideways or up, at this point. It also tested support found earlier in the year; which can be seen on the weekly chart iqc.com Also, the "hammer" bottom happened on strong volume adding strength to the support line. iqc.com All three time frames show the price touching the lower bollinger band, implying little downside.
