Old DDIM News & simple math:
"BELLEVUE, Wash. - January 27, 1997 - Data Dimensions, Inc. (Nasdaq: DDIM), announced today the sales launch of a revolutionary CD-ROM/Internet product, Ardes 2k, that provides step-by-step procedures to identify and fix computer-related Year 2000 problems for organizations of all sizes from small businesses to the largest commercial and governmental enterprises.
Martin said that organizations that have tested Ardes 2k, including current Data Dimensions consulting clients, have given it rave reviews. And he warned that those who wait to address the problem or believe they will be saved by a "so-called magic bullet" will not be ready by the year 2000. In fact, for many large organizations, especially banks, a solution must be in place by the end of September 1998 to make sure there is enough time to test effectiveness."
This means DDIM has 17 months to sell its YR2000 solution before the market evaporates. Let's see now, a DDIM Market Cap of $ 260 Million. Assume a generous 25% margin on sales requires about a Billion in sales to earn the value of company. Now divide One Billion by 17 months and we get $ 708 Million sales per year. About 50 times last year's sale.
Thank you Peter
