Hi Paul,

What's your take?

Its certainly possible that Compaq has the most volume in this area, though i have never heard of this research company - and i have doubts that Sun could have dropped so precipitously when it grew revenues by about 35% in the last quarter vs. compaq which grew - well you know the story there. This wouldnt preclude Linux, or Solaris however from being the OS since after all Compaq/DEC supports all these OS's. However what technology unique to Compaq is enabling such rapid growth in the PC Server web server market? They held this position with PC's for a long time and then Dell came in and ate their lunch.
