Pardon the intrusion... fwiw, PHLX listed AAPL options starting a few weeks ago. They seemed to (and continue to) compete hard for volume, narrowing the bid/ask spread always (at least on the strikes I was playing). AMEX tho, didn't seem to want to compete. They kept their quotes the same. AMEX can probably get away with this for a little while. Yesterday, PSE listed AAPL options and Monday, CBOE will do the same. I would think in the long run, this competition should be good for us. In the short term, I've gotten better prices by going to the new exchange listings... at least for the times I want to hit the bid or ask. With inside or outside limit orders, I've had better luck going where the volume is. Although at times I'll try at the new exchanges briefly to see how bad they want my business <g>.
