Hi thread,
I just got home from having a few (EDIT: lot) of drinks with a guy who, when he was sober much earlier in the evening, had talked to a couple of piss tanks over a very poor cell phone connection to a noisy bar, and they had just talked with some drunk in a Bakersfield bar, who had just heard from a Vancouver broker (currently recovering in the Betty Ford Clinic) and the honest to God's truth is:
1) Cal Canal will drill out the shoe on Monday. They should be at the Temblor top some time Tuesday. If they still plan on drilling through roughly 2,700 feet of Temblor it'll take them ~14 days of drilling to get to TD. Now, if they have to fight any lost circ problems, or set any more casing strings before hitting TD, or change their mud system around to deal with abnormal pressures, or deal with any other abnormal chit that usually happens while drilling deep wells, it may just take an hour or two longer !!!!
2) ELH #1 won't be flaring before September 27th.
3) BKP #1 is at ~10,000 feet.
So, operationally, over the weekend it's still expected to be a big ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz !!!!
I'm much more anxious to confirm "the deal" !!! But, then that's just all RUMOUR at this point. <GG>
Have a pleasant evening.
Later, grayhairs
P.S.--If anyone really NEEDS TO KNOW the current status of the wells, do call IR at BKP !!!! |
