Kieth - It seems that a sale of QCP at this time would be an even trade off for the Q, assuming that his assumption that the gross margin at QCP was 3%.

While I agree that the overall point is a good one to consider, the best guess at handset GM as of Q ending Dec 98 was >20%. I do not know what the operating margin is, but they had talked about shooting for 10% Operating Margin this quarter. Thus, royalties do not make up for the loss of handset revenues unless they were in essence selling themselves discounted ASIC's and thus 'artificially' boosting the apparent margins on the phones.
