I see continued life in the K6-3 in 0.18 for laptop market.

Once Coppermine/128K gets the SSE and 100Mhz bus - i see K6-2 as a dead end. And I see this as a Q1 2000 product from Intel at 500-600Mhz speed grades. A 0.18 micron K6-2 will be simply uncompetitive IMHO.

And then we have the issue of requiring an integrated product. AMD better have a partner or be working on a solution for Q2/Q3 2000 - hopefully somebody like SIS/Nvidia et al.

Q1 2000 will be critical to AMD's future.
