<<unless you short the market, and don't care what that does to real people in the economy>> if this means long=good, short=bad, if seen that argument before and i'm not sure if i agree with it it also apparently seems that Ike, in my observation, has no aversion to going short if the market takes him there though i don't trade indicies or futures yet, i will say that shorting is necessary to create a market, technically shorting with the trend is also, in my opinion, is as valid as profiting on the long side during a trend that is long i am interested to understand the context of your statement regards, ynot ;)
