Re: Microsoft is a Cable Powerhouse

Thread,
Some may find these figures surprising. But since I've been attempting to keep track of how the MSOs are being consolidated and purchased by big players in the communications game, they don't surprise me too much. Although I have to say, Microsoft is almost on a stealth investment plan of establishing strong positions in MSOs around the world.

Take a look at these figures and you'll probably agree that Microsoft is a strong believer that two-way HFC voice/video/data cable plants are the last mile solution most likely to dominate for now. And apparently Microsoft is determined to have a leading roll in this broadband explosion.
