But, seriously, I think this type of "buy" recommendation actually hurts the stock (at least temporarily). A stock trading a 60 just doesn't look attractive with a 12 month 70 price target, especially in the tech sector.

I think it basically "freezes" the stock at current levels. So what happens when it hits the high 60's? Everyone head for the exit in anticipation of a downgrade based on "valuation"?

This isn't the first buy rec I've seen with LSI having such a low 12 month target so I'm beginning to conclude it has to do with the type of guidance the analysts are getting from the company. If so, it could be interpreted that the earnings growth may be stalling here. What do you think?
