I know that Microsoft tried to win Nokia over to WinCE, but was politely shown the door. I'm not surprised. From what I've read, WinCE is attempting to be everyone's darling and is not particularly adept at doing anything very well. I've got to imagine that Epoch (sp?) is very focused on handheld devices, namely palmtops and cell phones and will therefore perform much better. Not one to be refused, however, Microsoft has partnered with Qualcomm to champion WinCE. This should be an interesting battle. It looks to be a Europe vs US thing too. Anyone care to speculate how Apple will participate in this market? Whatever it is, it's gotta be small and cool and Internet enabled, of course. iWatch, anyone?
