Re: Most eggs in one basket
For the many excellent reasons you state, we end up perhaps close to the same position developed thru the years. I have around 70% Dell, 18% Qcom, 3% Plcm and the rest assorted techs. And that includes all except the house which is paid for.
Was forced into Dell- other stocks in 97 and 98 could not keep up.
Unless one was fortunate to own Aol or Yhoo, with greater risk, as it finally turned out.
Stocks I previously owned- Bac, Nb, Air,Bcom, could have been
as disaster to keep( I omit the Disk manufacturers to avoid bringing back bad memories)G.
I admit to some uncertainty in May over the short term outlook
for Dell, and was prepared for another 6 months of stagnant price and analysts "I told you so" comments. But long term there was never a question that Dell would prevail.
