Thanks for reminding me about the War College report.

There was a question addressed to both Joel Willemssen and Janet Abrams the other night at the WashDCY2K workgroup meeting about that report.

Neither had read the report, and stated that so far as they were concerned did not reflect the opinion of the US govt agencies tasked with monitoring and collecting information about Y2K.

I think they will be reviewing it in the future though, since the question did cause a bit of a stir.

They didn't dismiss it out of hand, but basically implied that it may be just a worst case scenario academic study based upon the research and opinions of the participants involved who only have their limited sources of information.
