When we have a lot of Volume and little price movement, it means that there are Buyers and Sellers. The people who bought in the past are are locking in Profits by selling. At the same time there are a lot of people & possibly institutions waiting on the sidelines to gobble those shares up. This is known as setting a Base. Once those weak (selling) shares are gobbled up, we move up.

The other situation could be that those wanting to lock in their profits would do so but IF there weren't encough buyers, the stock would fall. That is NOT THE CASE. We are setting a Base. We are Churning Shares. THat will allow us to move up, soon.
