Double D; You are quite correct that nobody (or very few people) really understand the gold market. Gold probably is the least transparent and most easily manipulated market on earth. The current gold action is most toubling. Cannot rally worth a damn no matter how favorable the background news. But gets hit hard on the slightest hint of bad news (like the modest dollar bounce today) Whatever the reason this is classic bear market action. Until this changes in a fundamental way, the path of least resistence is down.
