I can't, so I don't. That is why I am not an atheist. An atheist says a positive "There is no God." That sort of positivism is just as baldly dishonest as that coming from a black robe who says "There is a God and I will tell you what he requires of you."
I am an agnostic ... I say "I see no compelling or even tantalizing evidence of a God." This is no longer doctrine, but opinion. The distinction is critical.
The Godders want to deny me the parity of this opinion with their faith - a form of opinion also imho.
