Have you been reading this thread lately.Have you been following any Java developments. The article is not the greatest it's only one point of view.IMHO Java will be the thorn in MS monopoly.

Gates: Jittery on Java
www5.zdnet.com
Not surprisingly, Alan Baratz, CEO of Sun's JavaSoft subsidiary, revels in what he sees as Microsoft's indecisiveness. "Microsoft is struggling how it wants to play with Java. It is still figuring it out," he said. Asked what he'd do if he were Gates, Baratz said he didn't know, but said Microsoft has only come this far kicking and screaming. "I remember when it said it never would support Java."

When was the last time MS released a product on time? The next operating system delayed till 1998 ya right, 1999 maybe. Java is only 2 years old or so and look how far it has come. The problem Corel has is it's up against MS and I'm hoping Java will make the playing field even. How come MS doesn't have custom office suite like Corel. This indicates to me Corel is a company that's looking to produce the best possible product so it can gain market share.Java will enable Corel to develop new products. The more products Corel has the better chance it has to make money.

Go Java GO
