I am just as amazed as you are!

In the case of Valdez I am kinda' skeptical because of the involvement of a "friend" of a relative of Valdez.

Some of the "forecasters" just happen to be nothing more than extrapolaters of current events.

BTW, though Edison and Morse had made important contributions, they are now consigned to the archives of history. Also, communications by
Morse Code have just been terminated last month. In fact, communications at sea by satellite have rendered the Morse Code obsolete for quite some time.

The forecasters (extrapolaters) apparently emphasized gloom and doom scenarios because people tend to pay more attention to news of impending disasters and catastrophes.
